Dha Hanu Jeep Safari

Duration : 9 Night /10 Days

Day 01 :

Early morning pickup from hotel and transfer to domestic airport to connect flight to Leh.
On arrival in Leh, airport transfer by jeeps to hotel. In the evening you can take a small walk in the market.
Overnight will be at hotel.

Day 02 : Leh Sightseeing

Morning sightseeing - Shanti Stupa, and Sankar Gompa; lunch at hotel, afternoon rest.

Shanti Stupa : - Shanti Stupa above Changspa village, 3km west of the bazaar. Inaugurated in 1983 by the Dalai Lama, the "Peace Pagoda", whose sides are decorated with gilt panels depicting episodes from the life of the Buddha, is one of several such monuments erected around India by a "Peace Sect" of Japanese Buddhists.

Sankar Gompa : Sankar Gompa, 3-km north of the town centre, is among the most accessible monasteries in central Ladakh - hence its restricted visiting hours for tourists.

Day 03 :

Full day sightseeing Famous Ladakh monasteries - Shey, Thikse, Hemis; picnic lunch; return to hotel in Leh.

Day 04 :

Full day sightseeing Likir Gompa and Alchi Gompa; picnic lunch Alchi's oldest structure, the Du-Khang, was erected late in the 11th century by Kaldan Shesrab, a graduate of the now ruined Nyarma Gompa near Tikse, itself founded by the "Great Translator" Rinchen Zangpo. Approached via a walled courtyard and a path that runs under a hollow Chorten, the square temple's wooden doorway is richly carved with meditating Bodhisattvas

Overnight at Uletokpo Camp.

Day 05 :

Full day sightseeing - Lamayuru Gompa, picnic lunch, and drive to Dha Hanu, overnight in camp at Dha Hanu.

Day 06 :

Full day visiting Drok-pa villages, overnight at Dha Hanu camp.
Dha Hanu : Dhahanu is situated to the south west of Leh, around 163 Kms. passing through the beautiful villages of Kaltsey, Domkhar, Skurbuchan and Achinathang. There are many small villages but only two villages of Dha and Hanu are open for tourist. Being on lower altitude Dhahanu is warmer than Leh

Day 07 :

Drive to Uletokpo Camp, afternoon visit the Ridzong Gompa and nunnery,
Overnight at Uletokpo Camp.

Day 08 :

Drive back to Leh, on the way visit Bazgo Fort; hotel in Leh.

Day 09 :

Full day at your leisure, shopping, cultural show of Ladakhi songs and dances in the evening.

Day 10 :

Fly back to Delhi, depart India.
