Manali to Ladakh Trek
Duration : 22 Night / 23 Days
The famous Manali Leh highway has replaced the old Srinagar kargil route as the most popular approach to Ladakh. In summer, a stream of vehicles set off from the Kull Valley to travel along the second highest road in the world, which reaches a dizzying altitude of 5328m. Its surface varies wildly, from faily smooth asphalt through potholes of differing depths, to dirt tracks sliced by glacial streams traversing a strakly beautiful lunar wilderness.
Day 01 International Flight - Delhi
Arrive New Delhi International airport.
On arrival, the guest will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 Delhi - manali
Continue drive to Manali, Manali is one of the most beautiful and picturesque hill station, an ideal destination for nature lovers an adventure sport. A lovely drive to Rohtang pass at 13,500 feet altitude, para gliding and skiing on the slope of solang valley, water rafting in the icy beas river, nature treks an adventure camping in lahaul, spiti and parvati valley, infused tremendous enthusiasm among visitors
Late evening arrive at Manali on arrival check in the hotel for overnight with dinner.
Overnight will be at Manali.
Day 03 Manali:
Proceed for a Full Day excursion of the hill queen.
The white peaks send a cheerful welcome to the Land of Snowballs and Skiing as a matter of fact Manali is the first choice of many people who want to see and touch snow for the first time. First times trippers to Manali will invariably want to sues out old favorites such as the 16th century Hadimba Temple, the Hot spring at Vashisht and even speculate anout the life and times Old Manali - the hippy enclave. But the lure of the playing fields of the Solang Valley. Naggar 28 km from the Manali, a picturesque tiny village set on a hill, Naggar is the starting points for the treks over the Chandrakhani pass. The town is host to the Roerich Art Gallery that used to be the home of artist Nicholas Roerich and his wife Devika Rani. Amongst the ancient temples in the area are the 12th century Gauri Shankar temple and the Chatar Bhuj Temple.
Overnight will be at Manali.
Day 4 : Manali
Spend an additional day in the Kullu valley, to explore the surrounding region.
Day 5 : Manali-Lamadug
Trek out of Manali to the open meadow of Lamadug.
Day 6 : Lamadug-Riyali
Trek to Riyali, just above the treeline.
Day 7 : Riyali-Kali Yani Pass
Continue to the base camp of Kali Yani pass.
Day 8 : Kali Yani Pass
Rest day in this spectacular natural setting at the base of the pass.
Day 9 : Kali Yani Pass-Donku Thach
Over Kali Yani Pass (4,725 metres) to our streamside camp at Donku Thach.
Day 10 : Donku Thach-Lamapar
Continue down valley towards the shepherd camp at Lamapar.
Day 11: Lamapar-Dalmarhi
Trek through a verdant valley with peaks all around to our camp at Dalmarhi.
Day 12 : Dalmarhi-Barabhangal
The trekkers reach their first village in 7 days, Barabhangal.
Day 13: Barabhangal
A rest day in the fascinating view of the village of Barabhangal.
Day 14 Barabhangal-Thamser Pass
A steady climb to our camp at the base of Thamser Pass.
Day 15 : Thamser Pass-Pannatu
Over Thamser Pass (4,570 metres) to Pannatu.
Day 16): Pannatu-Palachak
Trek along the river and through the woods to the tiny settlement of Palachak.
Day 17): Palachak-Biling
Pass through several small villages on the way to the camp at the village of Biling.
Day 18): Biling-Mcleod Ganj
Continue down to the Tibetan refugee camp at Bir, then travel by jeep to McLeod Ganj, home of Tibet's government-in-exile.
Day 19-20): Mcleod Ganj
Spend two additional days in McLeod Ganj to visit the Tibetan library, local Buddhist monasteries, and the town's colorful marketplace.
Day 21): Mcleod Ganj-Amritsar
Travel by jeep to Amritsar, site of the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Have an overnight stay there.
Day 22 : Amritsar-Delhi
Catch an early morning express train to Delhi. Check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 23 : Deaparture Transfer
Depart- Delhi and transfer to airport for catching a flight to onward journey.
